For a simple case, you can expect fees between £1,500 and £4,000, whereas a medium complexity case may cost £4,000 to £10,000. High-complexity cases can start at £10,000+.

We also charge disbursements, which are costs paid to third parties on your behalf, such as barristers’ fees, typically ranging from £850.00 to £1,500.00 per day, plus VAT.

We offer full transparency on fees and will provide you with a clear cost estimate once we understand the specifics of your case. We’ll help you navigate through the process, including claim preparation, pre-hearing conciliation, negotiations, and representation at the tribunal hearing.

The time to resolve a claim can vary. A pre-claim conciliation may take 1-8 weeks, while a case that progresses to a Final Hearing could take between 26-52 weeks, depending on various factors, including court availability and case complexity.

We also ensure full compliance with anti-money laundering regulations, which includes an identity verification fee of £20.00 plus VAT per person.

 Our Probate services are available under two options:

• Option 1: Full Estate Administration 

  We charge hourly rates ranging from £230 to £280 per hour plus VAT (20%). The total cost for basic estate administration typically ranges from £2,500 to £4,000 plus VAT for a straightforward estate and £3,500 to £5,500 plus VAT for taxable estates. For more complex cases (e.g., disputes, overseas assets, or significant estate value), we will provide a more tailored estimate after assessing the details. 

• Option 2: Grant of Probate Only 

  For estates where we are simply applying for the Grant of Probate (without full estate administration), our fees range from £600 to £1,900 plus VAT (20%), depending on the estate’s complexity. The average fee for an estate that does not involve Inheritance Tax is £1,000 plus VAT. If Inheritance Tax is applicable, fees may range from £1,000 to £1,900 plus VAT, with the average being £1,500 plus VAT. 

Disbursements:

Additional costs, such as court fees, will apply and are paid in advance. These include:

• Probate fee: £307.50  plus VAT

• Bankruptcy searches: £7.00 + VAT per beneficiary

• Statutory advertisements: Approx. £220.00 + VAT (if required)

• Valuation fees: Vary based on the estate

To comply with anti-money laundering regulations, we charge a fee of £20.00 + VAT per person for identity verification through our third-party provider.

Time Estimate:

• Grant of Probate: Typically takes 6 to 8 weeks once all necessary information is provided. 

• Estate Administration: The process usually takes between 12 to 18 months, depending on the estate’s complexity. Interim distributions to beneficiaries are made where possible during this period.
